1. Who We Are
These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your access to and use of the Authentic Living shop (the Shop), purchases made through the Shop, and communications relating to your order. The Shop is operated by Authentic Living by Healing Narratives Counselling Inc., a Québec corporation (we, us, or Authentic Living).

Attention: Stephanie Underwood
This is our business and legal correspondence address. It is not a product return address. Do not mail merchandise here unless we give you written return instructions that specifically direct you to this address.
The Shop sells lifestyle, stationery, apparel, accessories, digital products, and related goods. The Shop is distinct from Healing Narratives Counselling Inc.'s counselling services. A Shop purchase does not create a therapeutic relationship, and Shop communications are not monitored as clinical communications or emergency support.
2. Acceptance and Eligibility
By using the Shop or placing an order, you confirm that you are old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, or that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian. You agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and our Shipping & Returns Policy, each of which forms part of these Terms.
3. Products, Print-on-Demand Fulfilment, and Product Information
Most physical Shop products are made to order and fulfilled through Printify, Inc. and one or more independent third-party print providers, manufacturers, and carriers selected through the Printify network. Authentic Living is the merchant that sells to you. Printify and the print providers are fulfilment service providers, not the seller to you.
Because physical products are made to order, reasonable variation may occur in colour, scale, placement, material, print texture, or packaging. Product photographs, mockups, measurements, and descriptions are intended to be as accurate as reasonably possible, but screen settings and manufacturing tolerances can affect appearance. These normal variations are not defects.
We may correct a typographical error, inaccurate description, availability error, or pricing error at any time. If a correction materially affects an accepted order, we will contact you before proceeding or refund any amount paid if we cannot fulfil the order on the corrected terms.
4. Orders and Contract Formation
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline it. An automated order confirmation confirms that we received your order; it does not by itself mean that we accepted it. We accept an order when we send a shipment confirmation, charge your payment method where permitted, deliver a digital product, or otherwise confirm acceptance.
Before completing your order, you are responsible for reviewing the order details, delivery address, product specifications, applicable taxes, shipping charges, and total price. You will receive a copy of your order confirmation electronically. Québec consumers will receive the information and contract copy required by applicable consumer-protection law in a form that can be retained and printed.
5. Prices, Payments, Taxes, and Currency
Prices and the currency used for a transaction are shown at checkout. Shipping, sales taxes, and other charges that apply to your order will be shown before you submit payment, except where law allows otherwise. We may use third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers when payment is processed through those providers.
For orders shipped to the United States, you may be responsible for destination-based sales taxes and, where applicable, customs duties, import fees, or brokerage fees not expressly collected at checkout. We are not responsible for charges imposed by governmental authorities or carriers after shipment.
6. Shipping, Delivery, and Title
We currently sell and ship physical products only to addresses in Canada and the United States. Production and delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Products may ship separately, including when they are produced by different print providers. Detailed shipping terms, delivery estimates, address rules, and procedures for missing or damaged orders are in our Shipping & Returns Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable delivery, cancellation, refund, legal-warranty, or other rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act (Québec).
7. Changes and Cancellations
Because made-to-order production may begin shortly after checkout, contact us immediately at hello@healingnarrativescounselling.com if you need to change or cancel a physical-product order. We will try to help, but cannot guarantee changes or cancellation after an order has entered production. Your statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
8. Returns, Refunds, and Legal Warranties
Our Shipping & Returns Policy explains our return and refund process. Subject to mandatory law, we do not accept returns or exchanges merely because you changed your mind, selected an incorrect size, or dislike a normal product variation, because made-to-order items cannot ordinarily be restocked. This does not limit your rights if an item is defective, misprinted, materially different from its description, or otherwise fails to meet a legal warranty.
For Québec consumers, statutory legal warranties may apply. In particular, goods must be fit for the purpose for which goods of that kind are ordinarily used, match their description, and be durable for a reasonable period having regard to their price, contractual terms, and conditions of use. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
9. Digital Products
Digital products, including downloadable PDFs, workbooks, guides, and other files, are delivered electronically and cannot be physically returned. Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, digital-product purchases are final and non-refundable once the download link or file has been delivered, accessed, or downloaded.
If a digital file is defective, corrupted, inaccessible, or materially different from its description, contact us so we can provide a working copy or another remedy required by law.
A digital-product purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for your own lawful personal use. You may not share, reproduce, distribute, resell, sublicense, publish, commercially exploit, or create derivative products from the file or its content without our written permission, except as law permits.
10. Acceptable Use and Intellectual Property
The Shop, its branding, designs, copy, photographs, graphics, product names, digital products, and other content are owned by or licensed to Authentic Living and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the Shop for personal, lawful shopping only. You may not copy, reproduce, alter, distribute, scrape, sell, or exploit Shop content without our written permission, except as law permits.
You may not use the Shop to submit unlawful, infringing, misleading, abusive, or harmful material; interfere with the Shop or its security; attempt unauthorized access; or use our marks in a way that implies endorsement or affiliation.
11. Third-Party Services
The Shop may use independent service providers, including platform hosts, payment processors, Printify, print providers, shipping carriers, analytics providers, and email-service providers. Their services and systems are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. We remain responsible for our obligations to you as merchant, subject to applicable law.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Shop and its content are provided on an as-available basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free access. We do not make medical, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, or treatment claims about Shop products or content. Shop products and content are not a substitute for healthcare, mental-health care, or emergency services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Authentic Living will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profit, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Shop or purchase of products. Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, our aggregate liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. This section does not limit liability where limitation is prohibited by law, including for fraud, intentional misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence, or non-waivable consumer rights.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without giving effect to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the mandatory law of your place of residence provides protections that cannot be waived. Courts with jurisdiction in Québec may hear disputes, but this does not prevent a consumer from using any forum or remedy that mandatory law makes available.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will show a revised effective date and will apply prospectively from posting, unless applicable law requires another process or notice. Orders already accepted remain governed by the version in effect when the order was accepted, except where law permits otherwise.
